In our speaking class on Friday, our teacher, Andy, said that he is so surprised at the lack of world view of people in Taiwan. That makes me think of the finding conducted a couple weeks ago, which showed that quite a few people had no idea which country Dubai is located in .
How much do you know about the world?
Frankly, I know little of it ,even my country-Taiwan.
Since our childhood, most of us are always told by parents to take good care of our study in school. All we have to do is perform well on whatever given tests as excellent as we can.
Our parents are right. It absolutely has a great deal to do with our future careers. We know that employers often take our grades into considerration for qualification for the job we apply for. So it makes sense,doesn't it?
Then, what is the significance of knowledge about the world?
